Look Who it Was is a catalog of public YouTube videos from 2005 to 2018 that have fewer than 5,000 views. It is a hobby project. It has no advertisements.

How it works

• All videos play in the official YouTube player. This site does not store video files.
• Titles, descriptions, and view counts come from the YouTube Data API.
• The site checks each video again at intervals of less than 30 days.
• A video that its owner deletes or makes private leaves the catalog at the next check.
• A video that gets 5,000 views or more leaves the catalog.

Part of the list of video IDs comes from the YouNiverse dataset (Ribeiro and West, EPFL), licence CC BY 4.0. This site uses only the video IDs of that dataset.
