Much awaited train from Pune starts with a bang but with hardly any celebration and hardly any decoration. Seen here is inaugural cum first commercial run of 22117 Pune - Amravati AC Superfast Express with off-link on its first day in form of Lallaguda (LGD) WAP-7 # 30238. LP was honking periodically to alert trespassers at LC gate. This train was initially planned as normal AC Express but got introduced as AC Superfast Express with change in TT for Up direction with reduction of travelling time by 55 minutes. I was expecting the white stallion in form of Ajni WAP-7 # 30270 which was the power of Ajni-Pune AC Superfast Express but got this surprise. All LHB coaches belong to CR except one coach which was of SCR.

Three AC Superfast trains were introduced with this 1 rake which will travel entire week as described below:
Train # 22124 starts from Ajni (Nagpur) at 19:50 on Tuesday and reaches Pune at 11:45 on Wednesday. Same rake starts from Pune as train # 22117 at 15:15 on Wednesday and reaches Amravati at 3:15 on Thursday. In return train # 22118 starts from Amravati at 18:35 on Thursday and reaches Pune at 7:40 on Friday. Same rake starts from Pune as train # 22123 at 15:15 on Friday and reaches Ajni (Nagpur) at 5:15 on Saturday. It then starts from Nagpur as train # 22125 at 17:50 on Saturday and reaches Amritsar at 21:05 on Sunday. In return train # 22126 starts from Amritsar at 4:10 on Monday and reaches Nagpur at 4:25 on Tuesday. If train runs on time then rake will have total rest time of 61 Hours & 30 Minutes (03:30 & 07:35 at Pune, 15:20 at Amaravati, 07:05 at Amritsar, 12:35 & 15:25 at Ajni/Nagpur). Considering the longer rest time at Ajni/Nagpur, rake should get homed and maintained at Nagpur.
