House Passes Bill to Tax AIG Bonuses

The U.S. House of Representatives moved quickly Thursday to pass legislation aimed at recouping millions of dollars in executive bonuses handed out by firms that received federal bailouts. Although members of both political parties agree insurance giant AIG was wrong to give executives more than 165 million dollars in bonuses even as it was getting government help, the blame game continued Thursday on Capitol Hill.
