Had a friend ask me if I could etch her husband's initials in to his birthday present, a cigar cutter. Have some engraving bits on order, but meanwhile I was trying to think of how I could hold it still on the work table. So I took a picture of the cutter, imported it in to Adobe Illustrator, made a vector image out of it, then imported the vector in to Fusion 360 CAD. Scaled it to the proper size (came to realize it needs to be a hair bigger, duh) and set up a program to cut its shape in to a scrap piece of 2x4 I had leftover from building the work table. Going to have to edit the program and cut it about a half a millimeter larger all around and that should do the trick! Meanwhile, here's a time-lapse of the first run.
