For the last three decades, Ambassador Steinberg has been an active leader in U.S. development policy and implementation. In the coming month, he will assume the position of president and CEO of World Learning, a nonprofit organization working on a global level to advance leadership initiatives. During this discussion, he will reflect on his time at USAID and delve into a number of issues at the forefront of the development agenda, including the future of the Millennium Development Goals, procurement reform, the evolving role of the private sector, development in middle-income countries, and food security.
