Here, The UpTake's Chuck Olsen helps the panel define citizen journalism and affirms that The UpTake's citizen journalists are engaging in journalism. St. Paul's Deputy Mayor Ann Mulholland is tentative but appears to agree. Finally, Dave Aeikens, president of the Society of Professional Journalists, agrees The UpTake's CJs are journalists. He further states that if a journalist is breaking the law they should be arrested, but that journos should be allowed to do their jobs at protests.
