Argentina chefs bake their way to new Guinness record of pizzas

(12 Nov 2018) ARGENTINA CHEFS BAKE THEIR WAY TO NEW GUINNESS RECORD OF PIZZAS A team of Argentinean chefs pounded, baked and boxed their way into the Guinness Book of World Records on Sunday, baking the largest number of pizzas in the span of 12 hours. The chefs in Buenos Aires set a new world record by baking 11,277 pizzas, shattering the previous record held by cooking rivals in Italy, who in 2017, baked 10,065 pies in the same time. According to organisers more than 3 tonnes of flour, 2.7 tons of mozzarella and 88 thousand olives were used during the cooking feat. In addition, bakers used 14 industrial sized ovens, and produced six pizzas every minute.
