--Overall Comments--

This was just a fun episode to watch, complete with hilarious moments, great quotable lines, and too many crazy facial expressions to count!  Gotta love an episode which has both Pinkie Pie and Twilight going slightly-crazy with worry and pressure.  In this episode we see another new creature in the Equestria universe, the Yaks from Yakyakistan.  They don’t seem to like anything unless its absolutely perfect, which leads to trouble when they open their borders for the first time in years and visit Ponyville.  “Dear Princess Celestia, I just started a war.”

The music in this episode, much like last weeks, was fantastic, and had a surprising number of new score in it.  From the barbaric theme for the Yaks, to Pinkie’s dramatic over-the-top music for her monologues, this episode provided us with more fantastic score than I expected.  Without any further ado, let’s get right to it!


--Track Specific Comments--

We start the episode out with some new tick-tock, pacing music as Twilight nervously walks around the castle worrying about the impending Yakyakistan visit.  When AJ is talking, we get a little drop of one of the season 5 motifs.

As the Yaks enter, we get the first drop of their Barbarian-style theme, complete with plenty of percussion and sitar.  As Twilight begins to speak, a royal-sounding score is used, until the Yaks become offended.
