Maui. Ram Dass @ Omega - Ram Dass never thought about living to be 74. Twenty years prior, he was identified with his motives. His desire for sensual pleasure, power, etc. But, now, those desires have settled down. Now he identifies with his Awareness, not these desires. He has them, but they aren't him. Maharaj-ji was so inwardly placed in his identification. Maharaj-ji had no fear. He had no identification with separateness and that is what causes fear. He didn't think he was Maharaj-ji. He let everyone treat him that way, but he was just awareness. Maharaj-ji helped Ram Dass out financially through Wayne Dyer. People sent Ram Dass so many loving notes. Wayne's letter loosened the floodgates of love that he had seeded. But it made him feel like an indigent, because he identified himself as rich. Now he has a lot of money from that outpouring. It's better to be loved than to be a rich person.
