Well here we are at the end of Octember 2018.  Halloweenus is upon us.  Last year, there wasn't as big of a turnout as usual for whatever reason.  It has its ups and downs.  But this year, we beat out all other previous years since I started keeping records back in 2010!  Now I definitely know I'm the coolest house on the block!

I wish I could actually bring you opening the door and handing candy out, but the parents are usually right there with the kids, or at least on the sidewalk, and when they wee an older looking man with a camera and their little angels, all sorts of false allegations would start.  That's why I leave the camera off when the doorbell rings.

I REALLY wish I could understand these Millennials/Gen Z'ers and their instant gratification.  They ring the bell, and if the door isn't opened in 3 seconds flat, they turn and start leaving.  Back in my day we'd stand around and wait for 30 seconds while the old man creaks through the house to the front door, then puts the front light on, unlocks Fort Knox, and then gets his dish of coffee table candy because he forgot it's Halloween.  These kids don't know how good they have it.
