(17 Oct 2018) HUGH JACKMAN HONORED; JOKES ABOUT TURNING 50 WHILE PRIYANKA CHOPRA SAYS MEGHAN MARKLE IS JUST ONE OF THREE PREGNANT FRIENDS IN HER LIFE Hugh Jackman's name is being tossed around as a possible awards contender for his work in the upcoming movie "The Front Runner," but the actor received recognition Tuesday (16 OCT. 2018) in New York for his charity work. Jackman was honored by the organization God's Love We Deliver with the Michael Kors award for outstanding community service. The program is a non-profit that cooks and home-delivers mails to people in the New York area living with severe ilnesses. He said both he and his wife Deborra Lee Furness' parents set the example to give back at a young age. "Both of us grew up with it's just part of what you do so yes, you work, you take care of your family, yes you work, but you give back whichever way you can. We're bringing our kids up in that way and we're just proud to be here and involved with us because the people who work at this organization, the volunteers who go in every single day, it's humbling to be around them." Jackman is also celebrating a big birthday. He turned 50 on Oct. 12 and posted a photo of himself on social media napping with the caption, "When people tell you "you don't look 50" part of you believes it ... until you see yourself sleeping." "It's good. I feel a lot better than I looked in that picture. That's for sure," he joked. Furness added that he "got to have a rest for his birthday." Another celebrity marking milestones is actress Priyanka Chopra, who is not only engaged to marry Nick Jonas but her good friend Meghan Markle just announced she's expecting her first child with Prince Harry. "Like three of my friends are having babies right now. It's amazing," said Chopra on the carpet. Model Ashley Graham admitted to hoping for a specific significant event in her own life _ the chance to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. This year's show takes place in New York in November and will air later this year on television. Graham has been open about wanting the opportunity to represent curvy girls in lingerie during the annual catwalk show. "I mean I'm hoping and praying that they put curves on the runway this season and here's to hopin'."
