The Huayhuash Circuit is an amazing 10 (ish) day trek that you can do in the north of Peru. During our time on the track we ate really well and were treated to fresh mutton around about day 6. We bought the sheep in a village (the only one that the trek passes through) and carried it on the back of a donkey to our campsite. I can assure you that the sheep was killed very humanly and quickly, by the experienced hands of our cook.
