FLATHEAD CATFISH on Cut Bait During the Day

In this catfish fishing video we are chasing a flathead catfish and trying to catch this flathead on cut bait during the day.  Flathead catfish are typically fished for at night using live bait, but out only chance to get out and fish was in the morning.

We were fishing a step ledge targeting flathead catfish that were holding along that edge.  Flathead catfish during the daylight are not the hard to catch, especially in reservoirs that have intermittent current from dam releases.  Catching flathead catfish on cut bait is many times easier due to the amount of scent that is spread.
