The Goa Urban Co- Operative bank has sent notices to barge; truck and machinery owners who have failed to pay the loan amount. Debt Relief Scheme of Govt is ending on 30th Sept. If Govt fails to extend the deadline of Debt Relief scheme, then bank will seize securities of the borrowers. Bank has made a profit over Rs. 1 cr in 2017-18 despite mining ban. It has also made provision of more than Rs. 11 Cr for various bank affairs. 54th Annual General Meeting of the Goa Urban Co-operative Bank limited was held on Sunday at Panaji. Due to mining crises, bank NPA has reach upto 20%. Director of bank B S Bhaangi informed that loan given to mining industry people has been secured equally with securities.
