Written by Steve Noonan and Greg Copeland probably made famous by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and to a lessor extent Jackson Browne. This has always been a favorite of mine since the early 70s when I first heard The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Play it. It was my brothers LP, so I had to sneak listening time when he wasnt around. The last line in the lyrics always really grabbed me with the truthfulness of it. Any way I was playing around with the tune and thought Id set it out there. When I listened back, I thought it needed a little bit more than the dulcimer, so I went out to my car to get my whistle and added a tin whistle track.
