AG Mike DeWine Hosts Annual Ice Cream Social

CEDARVILLE -- People gathered for a patriotic ice cream social in Cedarville Sunday. It was put on by Attorney General Mike DeWine and his family.He and his wife have been inviting the community over for years, ever since he was running for county prosecutor, and now 2,000 people show up each year. There was a band to entertain the crowd.DeWine says because it's so informal, it's a chance for him to really connect to the community. "Sometimes it's the only time I see many of these people, and they know when they come here they have the chance, if they have a problem, to talk with me - some do that. And sometimes they just come here and you know, they just want to say hi; and eat a little ice cream and relax for an afternoon," said DeWine. The fun concluded with some ice cream from Young's Dairy Farm.
