In this short spotlight from TEDxBrixton on great community projects worth highlighting, Aaron is co-founder of the Stop & Search UK App, an innovative phone app that tracks police stop-and-searches. It allows those stopped to check their rights and share their personal experiences.

About Aaron
Aaron Sonson is a young entrepreneur and co-founder of the pioneering Stop &Search App, created to monitor and improve the controversial Stop & Search procedure carried out by UK police. The idea for the app was born on the Apps For Good course run by the CDI charity, Aaron was later employed on the course to facilitate classes for young people on the development of mobile apps. The Stop & Search app has been featured in various news channels such as ITV and Al Jazeera TV among others, and won a Liberty Human Rights award at the end of 2012.

Aaron is currently working on raising awareness of the app. The belief in himself and God is what he says has brought him through some testing times in his life and to the place where he is at now. In the future Aaron hopes to be in a position to positively change the lives of as many people around him as possible.
