PowerBook G3 Boot Race - SSD vs HDD

On the left is a PowerBook G3 'Wallstreet' with an 8gb SSD on the right is another PowerBook G3 'Wallstreet' with a 40gb hard drive (booting to a 4gb partition). Both have 266mhz processors and 256mb of RAM. Both startup drives have the same OS (9.0.4) and extensions installed. I'd originally bought the SSD for my PowerBook 5300 but it wouldn't even start with the thing installed. Too small for any of my other computers so after the boot race I put it in an external USB drive enclosure.
