FINAL FANTASY I For PSP, I hope you enjoy the video. He is found in the Lifespring Grotto, and is found on the final floor. Strategy Omega is arguably the hardest boss in the Dawn of Souls version of the game, with only Shinryu providing any real argument. He has the highest Defense stat of any enemy in the entire game, so initially physical attacks will be useless. Omega's physical attacks do hefty damage and can KO lower-level mages in one hit. His "Wave Cannon" move also hits the entire party for high damage. Don't even think of taking him on until your party is at level 60 or higher. Hopefully you will have both a Black Wizard and White Wizard in your party and the "Giant's Gloves" equipped on your physical attacker. The Black Mage should start out by using Temper and Haste on all of your units. If you have a Red Wizard, it should help with Tempering and Hasteing. After your units are significally buffed up, the Black Wizard should use Thundaga every single turn. Your melee units shouldn't even think about attacking until they have Temper cast on them at least twice and have have cast Saber on themselves using the "Giant's Gloves". Your White Wizard should be using Healaga or Healara every single turn. If you think a single turn without healing can't hurt, just wait until Omega uses "Wave Cannon" twice in a row. You'll most likely need to use several Ethers to replenish MP, because this battle takes a long time as a result of Omega's astronomical HP and Defense (an attack will be lucky to break 1000 damage). In spite of his high defenses, Omega is manageable (though long). Wave Cannon is powerful, but nothing that cannot be recuperated with Healaga. He does use Earthquake, but that's unlikely to do anything to the party. His physical attack can hit for 500-900 damage on one character, but it's nothing that simply cannot be handled. The battle is simply one of endurance. If you keep healing with your mages and attacking with your warriors (the Judgment Staff received earlier is beneficial), Omega will die. Omega's defense can be overcome using the spell Temper. In the Dawn of Souls version, Temper is a stackable spell. If it is casted on one party member many times, its possible for that party member to do 6000+ damage with a physical attack. This strategy takes some time to use, but its a lot more effective than other strategies. Omega can be soloed fairly easily by a mage using this strategy.
