For this mission, Kai's heard of a beefy officer with a huge appetite, which peaks her apparently very specific interest, so we've come here to investigate.

It's already under attack by demons, because of course it is. We need to beat back a few to even open the gates and then we have some peasants to rescue, 4 in total. A messenger appears before long and defeating him will reveal the location of the stolen supplies the demons have stashed away.

After defeating the remaining demons, more of them appear as well as Xu Zhu as a third force. He charges us and rallies into Hyper mode. Defeating him will have him join us and follow the player around like a bodyguard. 

Now we just need to go to the four indicators on the map and beat up the officers there. While we do so, enemies will spawn at the village and attacker the peasants so you'll want to double back and save them if they start to struggle. Once all the stolen food is recovered, Diamondback, the commander, will appear. He'll charge the village so we just need to defeat him and his cronies to win. Victory here gets us Xu Zhu as a playable character. I am positively brimming with joy.

I played s Xiahou Dun and Lu Meng here. Both of them have very straight forward movesets from DW8. Xiahou Dun has some solid damage and several of his attacks can break the enemy's guarding, making it easy for you to keep up the punishment. His musou is particularly powerful. Lu Meng has less damage output but more overall range and his C1-EX can dish out massive damage if you get the orbs to explode all on a single target. He has some grabs as well, so that's pretty nice.
