Ethiopia and South Korea Cultural Exchange held at Addis Ababa University Mandela Conference Hall on May 28, 2016.  The performance included taekwondo and music from the Korean side and Ethiopian cultural song and performance (Tigrigna) from the Ethiopian side. The South Korean President Park Geun- Hye  was the guest of honor.  During the occasion she “ said that the bilateral relations of the two countries opened in 1951 while Ethiopia deployed troops to Korea for peace keeping (as part of the United Nations). President Park further said such cultural exchanges... boost the cooperation of the two countries for a new chapter. President Mulatu Teshome (Dr.) [on] his part said that he is grateful... to the Korean people and culture. He insisted to strengthen the cultural exchange in more [comprehensive] way.”
