As I approached the intersection of Main and Decator avenues I move left of the lane and prepare to come to a full stop if need be. But because I signal my turns like a good vehicular cyclist should....the driver in the on coming SUV takes note of my legal hand signal and gives me the right of way. This is what makes roads safe. Not because their speed limit is considered fast or slow. IT'S BECAUSE ROAD USERS COMMUNICATE AND COOPERATE!!
