(10 Dec 2018) BRIDAL FASHION WEEK IN LAHORE COMES TO A COLORFUL CLOSE Pantene HUM Bridal Couture Fashion Week came to a close in Lahore Sunday (09 DEC. 2018) and on a high note with the designer HSY show. The three-day extravaganza showcasing 26 designers and brands included a number of celebrities who walked appeared on the runway on behalf of Pakistan's top and upcoming designers. Following the HSY showcase of the brand's latest couture collection, Shah, at the Iconic Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow, Scotland, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin brought his work home. He told The Associated Press, "I am showing my collection called Shah which I just did in collaboration with Harris Tweed at the national museum in Scotland and it gives me great honor to be able to come back and show the collaboration." Synonymous with the title, 'Shah', as envisioned by HSY, is a story of a Mughal Princess set to tie the knot with a Scottish monarch.With all garments exclusively crafted with pure Harris Tweed Hebrides wool, the designs incorporate botanical motifs, geometric shapes inspired from Islamic art all merged with Celtic crests, lions, serpents and Scottish emblems. The collection stays true to HSY's design ethos by merging eastern influences into Western silhouettes to create a one-of-a-kind couture collection.
