US Stocks Extend Gains

Wall Street edged higher Friday despite new figures that show the nation's economic output declined to a seven-year low. Consumer spending also fell in September, capping the worst three-month spending decline in nearly three decades. Economists say the numbers are strong indicators that the country is sliding into a recession. VOA's Mil Arcega reports.
