Phil and Amy Mickelson partner with ExxonMobil to sponsor the Mickelson ExxonMobil Teacher Academy (http://mickelson.nsta.org/) where 150-200 teachers/year attend a one week summer professional learning experience. The goal is for teachers to deepen their understanding of mathematics and science content in support of STEM content aligned for teachers in grades 3-5. Teachers also increase their application of scientific and engineering practices as espoused in the NGSS. Here, Phil and Amy thank NSTA, Math Solutions, and ExxonMobil for this effort. This is the 10 year anniversary of the program that now has reached over 4,000 teachers and correspondingly over 400,000 students across the US!
