Shannon Penrod gives a great tip for surviving the holiday season:  Do it With a Therapist.  Too often the first instinct when feeling overwhelmed is to cancel ABA therapy.  What will it hurt to cancel one session?  Research has clearly shown that consistency and number of hours greatly impact a child's outcome.  So don't cancel!  Instead do whatever you need to do with a therapist.  A great ABA therapist can work on all the things in your child's program no matter where they are; in line at the bank, at a five year old's birthday party or even at the Department of Motor Vehicle!!  So "Do it with a Therapist", your child will learn more, you'll learn more and we will all survive the holidays!!!
