305 Gear selector bulb replacement

How to change the bulb for the gear selector indicator on a 1986 Peugeot 305. This i believe is a very similar process on the 205, 309, 405 and BX from the same era when fitted with an automatic. An LED bulb was used to replace the old incandescent type and it makes a significant difference to how easy the indicator is to see.
