You thought you understood density but you don't. Dr. Will Grover takes us on a reveiling journey of what density can tell us about the world and ourselves. William H. Grover is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of California, Riverside. His research lab at UC Riverside develops instruments for biological, chemical, and medical applications. Dr. Grover also creates smartphone apps and other resources for supporting engineering practices in K-12 schools. In Dr. Gover's postdoctoral work at MIT, he used the group’s microfluidic mass sensors to make the first precision measurements of the density of single living cells. A native of Tennessee, Dr. Grover received his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
