Both sides of a mighty obscure mid-'60s (we think) record from Hobbs, N.M. Has a highly unusual pair of tracks — a country ballad backed with a rock-surf instrumental. Definitely interesting, and of course posted for the first time. "Avalanche" begins at 2:14. As for the weird label name, you gotta think the CUR is for Curley. Ummm, could the NOR be Norman Petty? He was, after all, right up the road (128 miles) in Clovis.
