Maui.  Retreat in the 2000's. Ram Dass discusses his stroke and the necessity of faith to experience grace. The firemen there thought he was going to die. He was just looking at the pipes on the ceiling. The firemen looked upset, but when he didn't die, it changed their expectations. The stroke made his body more real. He used to think he was spiritual and didn't want to be bothered by the body. But he was wrong. The body is part of the spirit. The experience of grace is absent when the faith is gone.
