Learn about cake designer Etwin Gordon of Essential Cakes, one of Howcast's baking experts, in this video.

Hi, my name is Etwin, I'm the owner of Essential Cakes, Inc, in Brooklyn. I've been here at Essential Cakes for about two years. I got into cake decorating, I wanna say maybe about six years ago. I love turning a simple cake into something that you wouldn't even believe it's cake. And I just love seeing the look on people's face when they come in to pick up their cake and it's exactly what they imagined. There's nothing that you can actually not make into a cake! If you wanna make a car, you wanna make a shoe, you wanna make a house, you can do just about anything out of cake. And today I'm gonna show you how to make several different cakes for birthdays.
