Using "how-to" content might be one of the slowest ways to build connection and "add value".

If you really want your content to add value to someone's life then remove fears, beliefs that don't serve them, or re-enforce their identity.

You know you're doing this correctly when you start getting "haters" or people disagreeing with you, telling you you're wrong or resort to pointing out small things like typos in your content.

This happens because when you re-enforce a person's identity you are likely going to be disagreeing or poking someone else's identity.

But, when you do this correctly your target audience will cling to it and resonate with you on deep levels.

For example, our mission is to impact 100 million views online this year from people trying to improve and change society.

But, I also know in order to make that happen the people we work with need to understand content at a deep level, which 99% of video editors and videographers won't know.

So, I speak out against the typical videographer and enforce the problems my target audience is having while validating their identity. I get a lot of videographers who don't like it, but I don't care.

My mission, impact, and message are more important.

I am standing for something.

And you need to do the same if you want a deep connection with the people you want as customers.
