Asuka is a character with awful block punishment, but compensates with lots of mix ups and great whiff punishers. The general gameplan is to make your opponent afraid to press buttons from mid range so you can get close and force her full crouch mix up. Once you have a solid life lead, you can try to sit on it while using her more evasive moves like a spaced out b+3 or WS3 to catch people coming in at the wrong time. If you get your opponent to whiff, you should always have f+2 on your mind as it is a 17 frame launcher with a lot of range and a simple input. When you're up close and you cause a whiff with sidestep, stick with 1+2 and d/f+2 as your whiff punishers as they are safe on block launching options. Just keep in mind that d/f+2 will not launch opponents in a crouching state on regular hit.

Asuka also has a lot of counter hit tools built into her strings, but in a neutral situation, her main counter hit tool is her b+4. It is a 15 frame knee that has an extension that can be used to stop people from wanting to mash when it's blocked.

One more very noteworthy thing is her rage drive in f, f+1+2. In my opinion, it is one of the best rage drives in the game as it hits grounded, and will connect off of a lot of knockdown situations, which gives her a free follow up like a d/f+3 or a f+2. It also doubles as a normal hit launcher on a standing opponent, so the utility of this move is great.

Hope this info helps you out. Next on the list will most likely be Hwoarang, unless something comes up!
