The me Convention is open, global, future-oriented, interactive, inspiring and interdisciplinary and offers participants an opportunity for in-depth dialogues and extensive networking. The first me Convention in September 2017 in Frankfurt featured over 150 thought-leaders and visionaries, who gave more than 2700 participants from over 35 countries fresh food for thought about the future. Guided by the theme #createthenew, international experts debated issues of future relevance.

In a continuation of their collaboration, the automotive manufacturer and SXSW are bringing the spirit of the me Convention to the USA through March 15. At the largest digital conference, Mercedes-Benz and smart, electric mobility brand EQ, the smart EQ fortwo, mobility brands car2go, moovel, mytaxi and Blacklane will present their concept for the future at Palm Park in Austin with their own activities and programme content. Within the me Convention grounds in Austin’s Palm Park, the 70,000 participants of SXSW can view sessions from the Intelligent Future Track live at the Pool Stage, meet and greet speakers, enjoy the food court, and take part in events such as yoga sessions in a relaxed networking atmosphere. New event formats, such as the daily "Mystery Talks by me Convention", will ensure days full of inspiration, innovation and new knowledge.
