Greeted this morning with a very rude Blue Jay knocking seeds all over my deck and ended it watching a very fancy Magpie Duck waddle past me in the park! 

Somehow the last day of May - our final May in our little apartment here! - has already come and gone. It wasn't until the evening did it hit me that May is now officially over and Summer is arriving in full force. Is it really just two more months before we move?

 We have so much to do! I still need to go and hug some lemurs and go to the NC Zoo a time or two! And yet... things are moving forward, even if I still turn around at the end of the day so surprised at how quickly everything slipped through my fingers. I'm not upset or stressed about it - just amazed at how life moves on, good or bad, no matter how much we want to savor it. 

Also I'm still so amazed at how wonderful it is to be able to do creative work each and every day - and how uniquely challenging it is, especially in a field like YouTube, where you are left with only your own imagination and personality to create with. But really those more serious thoughts were put to the side while I role-played as Warrior Cats and admired very fancy ducks that we ran into during our evening walk around the lake. 

And now... Summer is here! And just what will it end up bringing?
