Thanks for coming cover! This is Amodeus. Today’s Dungeon Hunter Champion is Dynamite the Dark Bomber… As always, you can support me here: https://www.paypal.me/artificeintelligence Everyone seems to like the bombers, or at the very least they want them to be good. This was definitely the case for me, but I found Dynamite to be the MOST difficult Champion to build yet. First, we have to cleanup some confusion with how Bombers work so “Let’s Break him down”… BOMB SHOT is Dynamite’s auto attack. It’s a pretty straightforward aoe attack based skill with a great range. It does Bonus Damage based on the number of debuffs on each affected enemy. I think it should say that it does additional Mystery Damage because there is no good for your average player to calculate the exact damage per buff or if it works with stackable debuffs like OGD or if their is a ceiling. This is unfortunate because it messes up people’s expectations of the auto-attack damage which is pretty good if you consider this range and that it is an aoe. It’s called TNT Barrel and is another AOE attack with a wide range that on impact deals flings out another aoe attack in the same area. Again it has Mystery Damage confusing everything but again look at the range on this A-O-E attack. This is a solid skill that is deals good damage, but again the expectations of that Mystery damage are confusing. Luckily, or oddly, the rest of Dynamite’s kit doesn’t have Mystery damage. In fact, this is where the Bombers start to get very interesting. Dark Bomber’s next skill is Explosive Sentry and this deploys another pet champion called a Boomling. The Booming has a nice activation range that will wait for enemies to appear before exploding in an AOE attack that applies an AOE slow for 12 seconds. It is great for deploying between waves in raids and at the beginning of battles in arena. The add-on mechanic for this skill is an increased chance to crit based on the number of debuffs on each affected target. Still ambiguous as to how much crit per debuff, but it is much easier to see crits in testing and while not as good as Munchkin’s self crit buff, but it’s better than Mystery Damage. The last skill is called Booming Swarm and it is very similar to Explosive Sentry except this unleashes a Booming for each enemy in a wide range. These Boomlings don’t wait around for enemies though. Instead they run off and chase down enemies and explode as soon as they hit one. This explosion is an AOE attack that applies a 12 second slow debuff and again has an increased chance to crit based on the number of debuffs on each affected target. If all of your enemies have been crowded together from your team’s crowd control, like Psion’s barrier or Greater Demon’s Trawling ability this AOE damage is applied to everyone over and over which is pretty catastrophic, but only IF THERE ARE MULTIPLE ENEMIES. This is not helpful with the Boss as it unleashes only a single Boomling against raid bosses which we will see in action momentarily. So Let’s look at my current Dynamite real quick… I built Dynamite 5 different ways and was very disappointed until my current build. I first built him on the recommended set of Brutal Vital with Attack, CD, Attack. This was awful as he did not do enough damage and was way to squishy. Next I built him on Adept to capitalize on his 3rd and 4th skills with Attack, CD, Attack. This is where I learned that his last skill is not great against the raid boss. So I left him on adept, but switched in Atk Speed, CD, Atk to see if the Mystery Damage would compensate if I ran him in team compositions with lots of debuffs. This wasn’t bad, but he wasn’t doing enough damage in my opinion. He is a bomber and I want him to blow shit up. That was when I decided to put him on Mortal Keen. I loved his damage, but he seemed very squishy. After reviewing the gameplay tapes I realized he wasn’t so much squishy as he was getting locked down with debuffs and dying quickly. I gave him Mortal Gear and switched out his keen to Warding for that much needed resistance buff and that's where I'm leaving him for now. I'ld love to hear what everyone is building for him or if you think there is a better bomber. #Dynamite, #DungeonHunterChampions, #Bomber
