Genetic Link Between Obesity, Colon Cancer

In recent years, scientists have told us that obesity carries the risk for heart disease, diabetes and many kinds of cancer. Researchers have also identified a genetic link between obesity and the risk for colorectal cancer. But the good news is that people with a variant of a specific gene have a 30 percent reduced risk for the disease. VOA's Melinda Smith has details on this latest study.
