This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Diversity can provoke envy and fear but also curiosity. I have had a dream... A world where curious people can meet and share curiosity and grow. Amor Ben was born in Spain, and as a child her biggest problem was to decide what to do when she would grow up. Due to her curiosity and her passion for every subject, she studied a lot. After finishing her Economics and Human Resources studies, she found herself living in a foreign country, speaking a different language and enjoying a different culture. This changed her life completely – living in a multicultural neighborhood. In the past years, she has made a job out of her passion for languages, people and cultural integration. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
