Chinese Premier Li Keqiang wraps up visit in Dushanbe

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is wrapping up his four-day visit to Tajikistan, which is the first stop on Li's Eurasian trip. It's also where he attended an annual meeting with the heads of government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, or SCO. During his visit, Li met with Tajikistan's president and prime minister, reiterating that the two countries share a profound traditional friendship based on high-level political mutual trust, respect and support. He said China is willing to expand ties with Tajikistan and push their comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level. Li added that China would like to coordinate its international development project  -- the "Belt & Road" Initiative -- with the national development strategies of all SCO member countries. The premier's meetings with SCO members and the Tajik president all saw documents signed on boosting cooperation in trade and economic development. After visiting Tajikistan, Li will head to the Netherlands.
