Analyzing the 99 names of Allah; Al-Jawad: one who is open handed (always ready to give, no matter what)

- Hadith from Imam Ali, "Man's generosity endears him even to his enemy, while stinginess makes him hated even by his own children."
- Allah has always left the door of forgiveness and open handedness open
- Allah has given Ramadhan to everyone, but only the believers follow him
- Allah's open handedness is different from ours; his generosity has no limit
- Any quality of Allah can never come to an end (e..g his generosity, his mercy etc)
- He is patience, he is the merciful, he is the generous
- Adopt yourself with the akhlaq of Allah
- How do we do this? Using the names of Allah
- If Allah is generous then we must be generous for him. If Allah has given us wealth, we cannot be stingy. We must give zakaat, khums and other forms of charity
- Another form of generosity is by cutting your sleep to recite Salatul Layl
-the Prophet has said that there is nothing more beloved to Allah than a youth who does istighfaar
- In your youth, when you had all the time to do whatever you wnated, did you go towards Allah or did you spend your time in other way
- a man would come to our Imam, the Imam would just take money and give it to him without asking for their hajaat

Ahkam of Fasting:

- fasting is when a person is in obdeience to the command of Allah by avoiding nine things
- if someone has not made their niyyat (intention) to fast, if they woke up before zuhr they can keep the fast. If they woke after Zuhr then they will have to make up for that fast
- if someone is in doubt as to whether they should fast or not when they are sick then their fast is automatically broken because due to their illness
-if you make an intention to break your fast, and even if you don't, your fast is broken because of the intention to do so
