Hi there! Liron here and today I have a full painting demo for you (:

This is a complete process, from start to finish, of a painting I did of cars in the highway.

🎨 COMPOSITION 🎨

One of  the key themes of this demo is composition and how to arrange the different elements of the painting for maximum impact.

I'm quite pleased with the main components of composition here, though there are always improvements to be made.

🎨 CONTRAST 🎨

Another concept related to composition is the contrast I created in this scene.

It's what leads your eye to the center of attention, and what makes the cars pop and look fairly realistic.

Getting the correct contrast can be a challenge at times, but with practice you'll slowly find that you can accurately portray it.

🎨 TOOLS 🎨

I'm always getting asked about this - so here's what I'm using here (:

Paint: mix of Winsor & Newton, SAA and Daniel Smith.
- Phthalo Blue (W&N)
- Permanent Alizarin Crimson (SAA)
- Nickel Azo Yellow (DS)

Paper - Saunders Waterford, cold press, 300 gsm.

Brushes - a mix of Leonard, Raphael, Silver Black Velvet and Princeton haha. Will soon share my most commonly used brushes on Instagram (@LironYanIL) so be sure to tune in there.
