Today marks the final day of operations by State-owned oil company, Petrotrin. The company is set to close its doors, making way for the restructuring process. But the representative union, the Oilfields Workers' Trade Union has described the treatment of Petrotrin workers by management as "disrespectful and inhumane." Speaking to TTT News on Friday morning, Education and Research Officer of the OWTU, Ozzi Warwick, said the workers have not yet been paid and may not be paid before lunchtime. He said it is unacceptable to treat workers who earned this country billions of dollars so inhumanely. TTT News will keep you up to date with the events of the last day of Petrotrin.
