PWD Minister Sudin Dhavlikar has stated that PWD will upgrade water supply, sanitation and sewerage system with the help of Portuguese technology. To begin with, Opa treatment plant will be considered for the project. PWD delegation along with Minister Sudin Dhavlikar had visited Portugal and after study had decided to use their technology for development of water supply projects in Goa. Speaking over the Cortalim-Verna traffic diversion issue, Dhavlikar has informed that he would discuss the diversion plan with the concern engineers and if required MoRTH will be also consulted. Clarifying over his statement on Portugal Prime Minister’s visit to Goa, Dhavlikar has stated that his statement was misquoted and consequently MGP had to lose 7 seats in assembly elections.
