In my Dark souls build, I like to go with high endurance for good stamina, and high vitality for high health. I use raw weapons for my entire first play through. Once in NG+ I will branch out into strength builds or dexterity builds. And switch to a stat scaling weapon. And often choose a set of armor and titanite it up real high!
