Just a botmatch on medium difficulty in Quake III: Arena. Hadn't played on this map before so I'm a bit crappy in this video.

This particular game is far more well known for its engine than the gameplay itself, but Quake 3: Arena is the universal standard when it comes to deathmatches, as far as I'm concerned. Few games are as well-balanced in weapons and powerups, have such well-thought-out maps, have such competent bots, or deliver such an old-school, insanely fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping free-for-all experience.

Even though you can still buy the game on Steam for $20US (http://store.steampowered.com/app/2200/), there have been several ports of Quake 3 since the source code was released under the GNU license, so if you want to have the full multiplayer experience and don't want to pay the $20 for it, check out these games:

-Quake Live. It's an ID-produced port of Quake 3 with a much more fancy online component (with stat tracking, leaderboards, and so forth)... but without the gore. You can find it here: http://www.quakelive.com/

-OpenArena. It's the most like the classic Quake 3 that I've played so far, since all they did was switch up the visuals and sound. Everything else is a direct port of Quake 3. You can get it here: http://openarena.ws/
