Thales delivered and integrated for the express trains and the new high-speed line in Finland from Kerava to Lahti, the complete signaling technology.
Five state-of the art interlockings, ready for ETCS, have been delivered to control the new field elements (signals, point machines, balises, axle counters). As well as two CTCs (Centralised Traffic Controllers) have been installed to monitor the traffic, and the trains are controlled automatically by the ARAMIS dispatching system.

All the project has been successfully deployed, in time and it allows trains to run up to 220 km/h safely and with lower operating costs.
By shorting travel times, Finnish railways and its population can benefit from a higher train frequency.
