Blue Spring - Snorkeling in the Rain and Manatee Encounter

For the past week, I've been trying to go freediving at Blue Spring, but the spring head had been closed off for manatee refuge, as one of the females had just had a calf. I decided to hang out further down the spring run and get some shots of the fish, instead. 

After about 30 minutes, I had packed up my fins and was walking back to the car, but something told me to hang around for a little while longer, since I had time to kill before work.

I put my fins back on and got back in the water, just in time to catch the whole family of manatees swimming back down the spring run toward open water with their new baby. It made the entire trip worth it! :)
