ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Olympic medalists, world champions and national champions are pedaling their way through Asheville for the next few days. The United Healthcare International Cycling team is here for training camp. Thirty-five riders came from across the world and a few are from Asheville, including Olympic silver medalist Lauren Tamayo and national champion John Murphy. Mike Tamayo, their general manager, says despite the cold weather, it's a good way to spend some time together. "Well, the weather sometimes throws a curve ball at us, right? We were really looking forward to, we've got such great eateries, we've got such great roads, and we were hoping for some sunny skies and I think we're gonna get some this week it just happens to be a little chilly for our sponsor ride today," Mike said. In January, the team will begin racing in Argentina.
