This program, developed in cooperation with the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts Office of Public Affairs, addresses issues district clerks of court confront as they manage the court's relationship with the media, the bar, and the community. It includes lessons learned from some district and appellate courts and participants in the public affairs pilot program sponsored by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. Panels, comprised of court staff involved in public information activities, discuss media relations, community outreach, public education, and internal and external communications. This program also explains what courts are doing to promote and increase public understanding of the federal courts, what challenges the courts have encountered, effective practices of these courts, and where viewers might find additional resources.
