In the Grade 2, $200,000 Demoiselle, Jim and Susan Hills Tizahit took a big step up winning the 88th running of the race by a length over favored Protesting. Hall of Fame jockey Edgar Prado settled the Tiznow filly off front-running Oh Diane through moderate early fractions of 23.59 and 49.35 before swinging her three-wide to close the gap and take over the lead midstretch. With steady encouragement from Prado, Tizahit held off a late challenge from Protesting to triumph. Her final time for the 1 1/8 miles was 1:53.09.
